The Let’s Play for Change campaign

Many children around the world lack safe spaces to play. Many more miss out on the chance to play because of poverty and prejudice. Children suffer the most in a crisis situation, and we are committed to upholding and raising awareness of their rights,” commented Per Heggenes, CEO of IKEA Foundation.

Special Olympics announced partnership with the IKEA Foundation to support growth of Young Athletes in India, Bangladesh, Thailand and Pakistan starting in 2017 through 2019.

To create a team for the planning and implementation of this partnership, representatives from the IKEA Foundation and SOI/SOAP visited India in November 2016. The Team visited Faridabad Haryana, Hyderabad Telangana and conducted a three day workshop at the National Office, Delhi. The training aimed to introduce the project, procedures and expectations. Campaign Launch Press Release
