Lions logoSince 2009 SO Bharat and lotus College of Optometry have worked together to strengthen and build the vision screening program. They entered a Memorandum of understanding on 3 September 2011, to build local capacity designed to create sustainable screening models. While conducting at least one event in a year in the state of Maharashtra , particularly Mumbai.

The College pledges to engage and secure the participation of Lotus College members  to support the local implementation of the program , including providing equipment and Clinical Directors. The MoU commits to engagement of students and faculty members through the utilization of the Opening Eyes Global Curriculum. They would support referral cases by providing services at subsidized rates. They would coordinate with lions Club International volunteers.

The MoU is signed for a year and is renewed every year subject to agreed interest of both parties.
