Unified Sports brings together athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to train and compete on the same team.
The Young Athletes Program (YAP) introduces children ages 2–7 years to the joy and benefits of sports through simple, play-based activities. It builds basic skills like running, kicking and throwing while preparing them for formal sports participation at age 8.
With over 1.5 million registered athletes across India, Special Olympics Bharat provides year-round training and competitions in 29 Olympic-type sports. From local community events to the world stage, athletes progress through different competition levels- local, district, state, national and international based on their abilities, performance and readiness.
