His father is overwhelmed by Somansh’s achievements and felicitations. Recently he was felicitated by Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. On 3 September 2015 at a function held at Greater Valley School Somansh’s victory was celebrated.  Ms. Poonm Chaubey principal of the school  repeats her amazement at the change that she’s observed in him.  On receiving the SO Bharat plaque she told her students that it will inspire them to do more and more for Samarth, the Special wing at Greater Valley.

Greater Valley is an integrated school with 900 students and 60 Special students. The special wing was the brain child of the principal who once observed two children noticeably restless and inattentive.

Understanding this as a condition requiring special care she approached Special Educators, Occupational therapists and commenced the process of creating a separate department altogether.

Greater Valley is now preparing itself for getting involved in playing a larger role in promoting Social Inclusion by creating Special Olympics Youth Leaders!
