Mrs. Sharma has made a significant contribution to the field of healthcare for disadvantaged groups, especially those residing in penal facilities. She planned five significant health camps between 2020 and 2024, each specifically designed to meet
demands inside these facilities. With the late DGP Arun Kumar Gupta’s assistance and in collaboration with the ARC Charitable Trust, she provided vital healthcare treatments to people who might have gone unnoticed otherwise. Mrs. Sharma’s work extends beyond correctional homes. Her passion for the welfare of differently-abled children is evident in her extensive involvement in organising health camps for children living in orphanages across Kolkata.
