    20 States of India would hold events during the week

    SO Asia Pacifc and SO East Asia are jointly introducing the Asian Football Week in partnership with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) between 20 and 27 July 2019, focused on raising awareness for creating social change through football.

    In India the states will decide on the relevant football engagements .The SO Bharat National office will coordinate and guide the States to conduct football activities in their respective states. Football for Social Change is the message line we would like to go with. Both Unified as well as the traditional Football will be conducted. Unified would help us reach out to more persons to engage with the Athletes on the field. Invitation will be extended to various football clubs, mainstream schools, Associations etc.

    Special Olympics International Football Championship (SOIFC2019), an initiative of the Special Olympics Asia Pacific is a championship inviting Footballers with Intellectual Disabilities from all over the world to showcase their competitive spirit.

    The Championship, supported by the Lions Club International District 324A, will witness participation of 20 countries from all over the world. Sixteen Male and Eight Female football teams will engage in the traditional 5-a-side football matches. SO Bharat is preparing 2 Male and 1 female football teams to compete at the event. The Official Special Olympics Sports Rules for Football (Soccer) shall govern the event

    A Special Olympics Healthy Athletes – Train the trainer (TTT) will be conducted on 16 and 17 November 2019 at the Frank Anthony Public School New Delhi, across the five disciplines of Fit feet, Healthy Hearing, Health Promotion, Opening Eyes and Special Smiles. Approx. 10 persons in each of the five disciplines from the medical fraternity will be trained as Clinical Directors in that specific discipline.  The seminar consists of a one day didactic program and the next day on site screening program.
